After reading through streams and streams of info on creating a non-profit organization, it seems that I am starting a tad too late in establishing my own. 8 months is the expected time-span to have one set up, particularly a charitable NPO where I can issue out tax receipts upon an individual or company offering a donation towards the organization.
And so I have decided to go a different route. I am currently looking into the possibility of piggy-backing an already established non profit org. One who has a similiar mission statement, one who would be willing to accept donations, issue out receipts and pass over the funds keeping a percentage for administration costs and efforts.
Out to the universe I go with this idea, hoping persons out there may know of an organization who would consider joining me and my Plight to Save the Albatross via this extraordinary kayak expedition.
